Colour on My Nails

Image
Here I will give you some suggestions on wonderful colours from different brands and also for diverse budgets. I will try to provide one example for each colour... Let us start with Green  Green (vert agave) is one of the best colours that Yves Rocher has. It is a very particular green, the type that you find in the forest, the type that is a bit pastel but still lively.  I have almost finished this one, I used it too much!  A nice Nudish Brown  I have to say that this one is also from Yves Rocher . I had used this colour a lot, too. I personally like it a lot. It is not as competitive as the Vert Agave but still quite good as a colour. It is a capuccino brown, something more like muddy but light brown. Hard to describe. It is definitely lighter than the photo you see below.  The third one is a pinkish purple one again from Yves Rocher . It is called Rose Hortensia (see it above). This colour really goes well with the lipstick Mauve from Kiko for instance. It is not a very interesting

Toning Up: Toners for the Dry Skin

Image
What is a toner? Toners is something that you use after you cleanse your skin, to get rid of the dirt that has remained after the day is over. It also helps remove makeup after you cleanse your skin. I used to use toners as my mom had one, we could find all the dirt and pollution on the piece of cotton going through that procedure. It was quite true that the toner was a useful piece of skincare. However, it should fit your skin: do you  have oily/dry/mixed type of skin? It matters a lot. If you have sensitive skin, you should use a very very very natural toner. Even cucumber juice would be fine. Something with less alcohol for sure would be the best for sensitive skin. The more natural ingredients there are, the better it is...  A benefit of the toner is that it minimises your skin pores, so that is great news. It cleanses, that is good news, too. It kind of prepares your skin for the moisturiser, so it is a part of the beauty and skincare routine.  Rose Water of Missha: Meditanical R

All kinds of wonders of skin care: vitamins, sprays and oils

Image
Recently I have been alternating some creams and sprays and wanted to write to you about them. All of them are satisfactory, of course some are more. I will cut it short and dive in to the themes immediately.  Eye Creams  So the first one is the Clinique Pep-Start eye cream . I had already written a review on this cream and I have to say that for daily use I am quite fine with this cream. Its texture is not so oily but it is sufficiently hydrating. I think I might consider re-getting it although maybe for my eyes something tougher is needed. Maybe I use this one in the morning and I can have a stronger eye cream for the night.  The second eye-gel is from Kiko Smart Hydra Shot Eye Gel : this one is lighter but still during the day when I feel that my eyes are getting dry, I sometimes use this gel. It is easy to use since it has a round base just like the pep-start. Both of these are not my favourite creams, well pep-start is closer to being a favourite, but they are efficient during the

An Incredible Night Cream

Image
Since I do not use so many products these days, I will be suggesting only one product that I am amazed with. This night cream is from Lavera. To give you the exact name: Firming Night Cream Triple Effect Hyaluronic Acids . So this cream is also economic compared to its competitors. It is 14.49 Euro. I checked the amazon price, it seems to vary. The price might differ in different places but this was also the price tag it had when I bought it.  I use Lavera night cream naturally at night and it is really showing hydrating effects. The skin looks healthier and softer in the morning. It does not leave it oily or it does not dry it at all. The perfect balance is there. I am very happy about this cream and will continue to buy it. All together: hydrating, firming, and much less costlier than many night creams. Good buy!  So if you are worried about other issues related to Lavera, I should say that it is bio, organic and vegan. Although it does not have the animal friendly sign on the boxes,

Feeling Good and Looking Good

Image
First of all I was aiming to write about the products I have been using recently, but I decided that I will deal with something deeper. About feeling good.  About being good. Which automatically translates into looking good.  So here, I want to underline a few important things, also with examples from my own life.  Some people might break your heart, make you feel bad. They might say bad things about you, gossip about you, they might make your successes smaller and your failures bigger, they might want to get rid of you, cut your ways, damage your heart and self-esteem, they might say things to you indicating that they are honest. They might dare to say things to you that they would not say to their co-nationals or neighbours or friends or people they love. What happens as a result? You get stressed, upset, deluded, you feel unfortunate, you cannot hit back cause you do not want to do that. There are people that you respect and you want to keep your respect and belief. You just sweep i

Five Products for Dry Skin and Dry Lips

Image
I have used a lot during the days we were closed at home, more than makeup products, the skincare products.  Here, I will write to you about five products that I found really nice during this time, useful, hydrating, and with a quite natural texture. A Good Hydrating Cream The first one is a hydrating cream that I started using recently, named the Origins  ultra-hydrating energy-boosting cream. This cream was bought by me maybe one year ago and I started using it now. It was there waiting in my drawer. I was relieved when I read that most of the Origins products are vegetarian and vegan. This cream smells like oranges, it has caffeine and ginseng inside.  It hydrates the skin really well, it refreshes, too. It was 25 euros when I bought it I remember, so it is not super expensive for a medium budget. I like this cream a lot and suggest it, dry skinners, with only one condition: you might need to reuse it during the day. I am going through a period of the month where my skin is more

Healthy Life and Healthy Skin

Image
I know that I had not written for a long while because I kind of lost the motivation to try more products and present them to you. However, I have continued on the skincare and I can give some tips on the skincare. I believe that I can rightfully give these suggestions since I noticed something about my skin in 40 days spent at home because of quarantine. I have these suggestions: 1) Eat a lot of fruits, vegetables, vegetable soups... to be more specific, eat an apple each day. Try to eat fresh fruits or salad each day. Even if it is spring, try to eat a lot of soups, made with different vegetables and tomatoes... 2) Drink a lot of water, not too much but keep a bottle of water at your desk where you work and as you take little breaks rather than coffee, try to drink water with a piece of lemon inside 3) Try to keep active. I have noticed that when I moved inside the house as I did the cleaning of the house and so on my skin got hydrated itself... the sebum was much more balan
