How to make natural cosmetics at home

Image
Here is how I have made my own exfoliator, mask and tonic.  The exfoliator (the brown one) has cacao, coffee, yoghurt, a bit of lemon, honey and a bit of sugar in it.  The mask (the yellow one) has yoghurt, the residues of a cucumber when I made the juice (I did not throw them away but used them for the mask), honey, Curcuma, a bit of lemon.   The tonic is basically the cucumber juice. If you want you can add a drop of lemon inside. If you think that would disrupt your skin, do not do that.  I have put them in the fridge, tried all of them one day after or after I had kept them in the fridge for a while. Especially the mask and the tonic are great to use! It is super hydrating for dry skin. The coffee exfoliator wakes you up in the morning! Moreover, it is without any preservatives, any conservatives... So that is the great part! And the colours are great, too!

LIP BALMS: DO YOU HAVE DRY LIPS?

Image
In this post, I will suggest seven to eight lip balms and I will list them according to my preferences. Before I have talked about hand creams and more hydration . Please see those posts as well. So the first one is my favourite one for sure, that is L'occitane lip balm . This repairs and hydrates. It has a very light smell and I use it before night, I suggest it to everyone... The photo is taken from their website This one is definitely my favourite. It costs 8.5 euros as it says on the website. There is one that is really economic with Aloe vera from Equilibra . I have probably told before that I like the brand Equilibra. It is 4.92 US dollars as it seems on amazon.com. The thing I like about this lip balm is that it repairs the lips, it does not let them dry and it is very light textured. Another one that I have almost finished this winter and autumn was Yves Rocher Coconut lip balm , this one is great, too. It feels very coconut oily like... it feels natura

Beauty Tips from Blogs and Youtubers: Only Homemade Natural Ingredients

Image
I have decided to make a thorough research of the beauty tips for you. It seems that it will take long writing this time, but I will start and give you the nicest ideas on beauty categorised for the dry skin and skincare in general. They will all consist of natural ingredients that you cook with and that you can find at home. CUCUMBER: YOU SHOULD HAVE IT AT HOME The one I like the most is the skincare by Merve Ozkaynak.  She, first of all, washes her face with water that contains honey and lemon, uses this one serves as a firsthand cleanser. You can feel the freshness when you do that, I tried this one as well. It was quite nice. The second step is the peeling that she made with rice and carrots, so it becomes blended in the frullatore, the blender. I am not sure if this one is good for dry skin, but it is definitely to be tried by oily skin and mixed skin types. The third step is that she uses cucumber water as a tonic and also to clean the remnants of the rice and carr

The Beauty Tips from "Aver Cura di Sé"

Here in this blog, I have a really major ambition to give you all the natural tips on beauty. After having done major research on Italian, Turkish and English resources, I have come up with some detailed answers, and I will be giving links and references to the resources. This will be a long but sustainable blog, so bear with me! So let us start with Diego Dalla Palma : since this blog focusses on the dry skinners, first of all, I will write his suggestions for who has dry skin (the pages that I have translated from his book are 37, 38 and 39): 1. Clean your skin once or twice a day with a very oily soap; the ones that contain glycerin and that are transparent for instance. It is always preferable to have a soap that is not soap or creamy cleanser... 2. Coconut oil or almond oil is one of the best cleansers for the dry skin. 3. The tonic that is most adapted to the dry skin is the one that is non-alcoholic one. As an alternative, you can prepare camomile tea and use the camom

Palettes 2: Which colours are your favourites?

Image
As I have said in the previous post, where I used Diego Dalla Palma's palette I mostly used these colours: nuda, ballerina, skin tone and all about nude brownish bronze. They are super nice, they stay longer and are also not disturbing the eyes at all. I have sensitive eyes and have seen that this palette was quite good for eyes that might be allergic to cosmetics. Other colours that this palette has like lady nude, too mauve, naked and bare green are going to be amongst my next colours to try. The palette is incredible and it allows different types of makeup so I suggest it to everyone. Diego Dalla Palma eyeshadow palette Here comes MAC Mulch number A98 , this was a suggestion of a Turkish blogger, and I loved this one a lot. The colour is really amazing, you can use it by itself, in autumn, in winter and summer. It goes well with all the other colours, it lasts really long as well. This one seems really expensive for one eyeshadow only but I bought it in a package prepared

Palettes: which colours are your favourites?

Is there a need to have so many palettes? Definitely not. I will introduce you a few palettes as a result of years of experience. Well, I do not use the eye shadow every day but I like to have a good palette and do a light makeup. Many years ago my cousin told me how to do it: to do the seven at the edge of the eye when using the eyeshadows. This information has been quite useful. I suggest these two videos for learning eye makeup:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6SQjrxRG2c  from Cliomakeup and  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3wNnH1NHA8  from Merve Özkaynak. Cutting the long story short, today I will talk about seven brands (Kiko, Clinique, Lancome, Diego Dalla Palma, Mac, Too Faced and Inglot) and six palettes (2 from Kiko, one from Lancome, one from Clinique, one from Diego Dalla Palma and one from Too Faced), four single eyeshadows (Three from Kiko, one from Mac ) and one which you can combine yourself (Inglot). I hope that it will be a useful one for you before you make deci

Some Unknown and Well-Known Tips on Beauty: Opening the old books?

Did you know that you could use mineral water as a tonic? It is cheaper and it is definitely natural! Did you know that you can put cucumber pieces on all parts of your face, of course including eyes and be sure that it will make your skin tonic and hydrated? Did you know that you could use the rest of your serum that you cannot finish mixing it with your face cream in a plastic or glass cup (that you do not use anymore, that is from your previous cosmetics' packaging for instance) and use it together so that you do not throw away what you had bought in the past? Did you know that one of the best scrubs can be Turkish coffee remnants? Did you know that you can mix just one drop of olive oil with some cane sugar, a few drops of lemon and a bit of honey and use it as a lip scrub? Did you know that you can use old black tea bags to take the morning inflammation away from your eyes? Did you know that most of the beauty tricks come from how you live and what yo
