Palettes 2: Which colours are your favourites?

Image
As I have said in the previous post, where I used Diego Dalla Palma's palette I mostly used these colours: nuda, ballerina, skin tone and all about nude brownish bronze. They are super nice, they stay longer and are also not disturbing the eyes at all. I have sensitive eyes and have seen that this palette was quite good for eyes that might be allergic to cosmetics. Other colours that this palette has like lady nude, too mauve, naked and bare green are going to be amongst my next colours to try. The palette is incredible and it allows different types of makeup so I suggest it to everyone. Diego Dalla Palma eyeshadow palette Here comes MAC Mulch number A98 , this was a suggestion of a Turkish blogger, and I loved this one a lot. The colour is really amazing, you can use it by itself, in autumn, in winter and summer. It goes well with all the other colours, it lasts really long as well. This one seems really expensive for one eyeshadow only but I bought it in a package prepared

Palettes: which colours are your favourites?

Is there a need to have so many palettes? Definitely not. I will introduce you a few palettes as a result of years of experience. Well, I do not use the eye shadow every day but I like to have a good palette and do a light makeup. Many years ago my cousin told me how to do it: to do the seven at the edge of the eye when using the eyeshadows. This information has been quite useful. I suggest these two videos for learning eye makeup:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6SQjrxRG2c  from Cliomakeup and  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3wNnH1NHA8  from Merve Özkaynak. Cutting the long story short, today I will talk about seven brands (Kiko, Clinique, Lancome, Diego Dalla Palma, Mac, Too Faced and Inglot) and six palettes (2 from Kiko, one from Lancome, one from Clinique, one from Diego Dalla Palma and one from Too Faced), four single eyeshadows (Three from Kiko, one from Mac ) and one which you can combine yourself (Inglot). I hope that it will be a useful one for you before you make deci

Some Unknown and Well-Known Tips on Beauty: Opening the old books?

Did you know that you could use mineral water as a tonic? It is cheaper and it is definitely natural! Did you know that you can put cucumber pieces on all parts of your face, of course including eyes and be sure that it will make your skin tonic and hydrated? Did you know that you could use the rest of your serum that you cannot finish mixing it with your face cream in a plastic or glass cup (that you do not use anymore, that is from your previous cosmetics' packaging for instance) and use it together so that you do not throw away what you had bought in the past? Did you know that one of the best scrubs can be Turkish coffee remnants? Did you know that you can mix just one drop of olive oil with some cane sugar, a few drops of lemon and a bit of honey and use it as a lip scrub? Did you know that you can use old black tea bags to take the morning inflammation away from your eyes? Did you know that most of the beauty tricks come from how you live and what yo

There is no winter yet, but protect your hands...

I have some great hand creams to share with you originating from these brands: Clinique, Mixa, Caudalie, Bottega Verde and L'erbolario. Let's start with the one I have already evaluated, but need to say more about Clinique deep comfort hand and cuticle cream . This cream is great because it does not have a heavy perfume, it smells very nice and interestingly cosmetical but naturally cosmetical. Then it is really kind to the hands. The effects of it are not too long, but I love to carry it in my bag and like to use it before I go to bed. As I said, the ones from Clinique were samples, and so I had only the small version: so far happy with it and suggest it. To give some points on the cream, I would say eight over ten. Clinique deep comfort hand and cuticle cream The second one I love the most is Mixa Intensif Peaux Sèches ... I love Mixa more than other brands and I do not understand why Garnier and Nivea are predominant in the market unless of course, they work togeth

The other four perfumes (as promised): Clinique, Dolce and Gabbana, Elizabeth Arden and Caudalie

As I have agreed before I am going to evaluate these smells: Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Scent Spray Caudalie - Fleur de Vigne  Clinique Aromatics in Black  Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue Sun The reason that I am so late with the evaluation is that I am very sensitive to the perfumes if I smell too many in one day, I might get nausea too easily... So that is why I am late... I apologise for not having kept the exact promise.  I will start with the Caudalie Acqua Fresca Fleur de Vigne : this one was 25 or 24 euros when I bought it last summer. And it is quite a small one, with 50 ml. I used it every day in the summer and also in the autumn. Finally, I finished really quickly. I also have to admit that some part of it got poured in my bag, but not too much, just a couple of uses were gone. This is the only smell that does not bother the people around me even if I use it in abundance. It is also the smell that never gives me a headache or never disturbs me later in the day, as

Perfumes: The journey of fragrances in youth

I have used perfumes since I was sixteen or so. My sister bought me my first perfume Sunflowers by Elizabeth Arden... at the time, we did not know much about directors or brands. We just knew about actors and smells; we did not think about wearing brands but we thought about having a perfume. At least we had started to have the desire for things but names ... you know when you are 16 in a smaller town, that is not that important. Especially when someone else discovers the perfumes for you.  Sunflowers by Elizabeth Arden The main thing was the main thing, the creator was not important, the patent was not important, the cool thing was to have the perfume. Or at least I thought so... then as we have got older, brands and names became bigger and they started to play a bigger part in our lives. Then there was Davidoff Cool Water , this was a great perfume. It was not heavy, light like the wind, pure like the water, not sticky, not sweet, fresh but with an undertone, it was

24th of December: Aromatics in Black

Image
The 24th day of December ended with a little sample of Aromatics in Black , a perfume by Clinique. It is sweet but not so sweet, it is pungent but not so much, it is sexy and evening like, but you can also use it during the daylight. I really enjoyed the smell: it says that it contains myrrh, fruit and exotic notes. There is also a hint of cinnamon in it. I give ten over ten to this perfume, also for not giving me a headache. Moreover, it was a very nice smell to have for Christmas evening. Merry Christmas to everyone, although it is past now, I want to say it here once more! Hope that we will have a good year where we return the resources we used responsibly back to nature. Okay, so in short, I suggest this perfume to ones who prefer a good balance between sweet, fresh and mysterious.
