Bye bye 2020: The products I liked and used the most
Dear Blog readers,
Since this is more like a hobby, and not work, I have been writing less.
This year was a difficult year for all of us. Especially single mothers with children, mothers working from home with children, single men, people who could not socialise, elderly... I think that we have stayed home more and used more domestic products in cleaning. We consumed more plastic in the forms of masks. Then of course skincare also continued to manifest itself despite our depression and despite the fact that with the masks, lipsticks became meaningless. We used maybe more lipbalm, hand creams, shampoos and hydrators more than others.
I have also tried to keep up the spirits and I want to write now a honest review about the products I liked the most, not because of their smell, packaging of appearance but because they were really useful, more natural, did not harm my skin, helped me feel better with my self-care routine.
I realy want it to be a long blog, so be ready to read... all my evaluations.
The first product I absolutely loved was Bioderma tonic.
This product was much better than I expected. It is more like micellar cleanser. Soft on the skin. Good for sensitive and dry skin as it calms your skin and prepares it for hydrating. I have used this big bottle I had for almost two months everyday and have noticed that my skin is definitely feeling hydrated, clean and morbid. I suggest it one hundred percent.
The second suggestion I have is Lavera's new shampoo: Lavera repair and care (orange colour). This one was a surprise as well, kind on your hair, no strong perfume, not too many bubbles but still there is sufficient to make you feel like you are really cleaning your hair. My hair is shaped better, looks better, and my scalf bothers me much less since I have been using this shampoo. In the past, I used other products of Lavera, shampoo, night cream and hair balsam, but this is definitely my favourite. Also my husband likes it, he manages to discover immediately my experiments and he admitted that this was a good shampoo also for his hair which is a different type than mine, he has thinner and lesser hair that gets oily faster than mine. Yet, success with both types.
You can see this one also in my previous blog posts. It is a bit expensive for the amount but every drop of it is quite intense and it is a good serum that gives your skin vitality. It smells like olive oil. Soft texture, it is just perfect. I bought the same for my mother-in-law.
The fourth product that I used the most and am super happy with is the Avene BB riche tinted hydrating cream. It has super hydrating qualities, unifies the colour of the skin, covers the small rednesses... of course, you cannot expect supreme coverage but still it is something amazing, also allows you to put on modest makeup afterwards. Happy with it and suggest it!If you want something with more coverage you can also try high protection 50 spf mineral tinted compact of Avene. I loved this one as well! It is nice and it is a quick solution to marks on the face that you do not want to see, when hormones are playing games with you and your skin is not doing her best.
I have two suggestions for exfoliants: Burt's bees deep pore scrub and Waso soft and cushy exfoliant. I like them both. If you have too much of a sensitive skin maybe they are not that harmless, but for me they were really useful as exfoliant. The skin feels new after these products. I had a small sample from Waso so I am not sure if I will get it once more but Burt's bees is something that I might buy again, as it is economic, big in measurement, and it is also a kind of scrub that I use once a week.
Regarding the lipsticks, there was nothing that amazed me or surprised me. Therefore, I will not give links to these that I cannot confirm to be one hundred percent nice or good or amazing or fascinating.
As always my favourites were Chanel Eternel 118 (in regard to colour and texture), Elizabeth Arden Lipbalm (lip protection stick that helped me a lot with my horrible dry lips) and L'Occitane 00 fruity lipstick (that did not dry my lips at all).
That is all for now. I wish you a good year, do not forget to draw, sing and take care of yourself. Take also care of the loved ones as we have understood in this last year, what we need is the peopel we love around us more than anything.
