Samples and Ideas

These days I have tried a few samples from different brands. They either come with the products or they are given to you when you shop at different places. I had this wonderful shopkeeper lady in Ici Paris in Luxembourg, Esch-sur-Alzette, she would give me a lot of samples of different brands. She introduced me to really good products like that. And also she did not give just any product but what fitted my skin, or what I could have desired. So I miss her really, there was a period I went to the shop and I could not see her, so I did not shop from there for a long while. Cause I did not trust the others as much as I trusted her.

To cut the long story short...

The first one is the BB cream of Missha, it was really good. It smells nice, it is kind on the skin and it is good coverage. It is something that women got crazy about so I also bought the real one. Let's see, I think I will like it.

Another sample I have got is the serum of Clarins with Curcuma. It is a great serum. The price is a bit too high for me but I really liked the sample, still, I would not be sure of buying it. It smells a bit like Curcuma and a bit like sage oil. I like this product and suggest it. However, keep in mind that it is super expensive. Then I am glad they gave me two samples, could not have you given me more for God's sake?

A sample came from Clarins: a hydrating cream for dry skin, Hydra Essential Rich Cream sample. I used it last night before sleeping and noticed that it keeps my skin really hydrated. It smells very light, normally I do not use Clarins's hydrating creams but this one was really good at hydration and the smell was not too cosmetical, so I wholeheartedly suggest it. It is 37 pounds, meaning 48 euros.

A sample came from L'Occitane, the concentre de lait (milk concentrate) with almonds. It is the nicest smell ever, smells like almonds, fresh and delicious. It hydrates the skin well, it is absorbed by the skin really well. I love L'Occitane really a lot, cause it has really top quality products and this body cream with the almonds is for sure one of them. It was just one sample and I might, in the future, not now, buy the body cream. For now, I have other creams to finish first. And again it is super expensive, although it is a big one, 54 USD sounds too much to me! (It is 42 euros as I saw on the Italian website)

Again with L'Occitane they sent me the perfume sample of Herbae. As it sounds, it smells like herbs, it smells a bit like cherry tomatoes, too. It is really a nice perfume for those who like something fresh but not too fresh, who likes something between sweet and fresh, like herbs more than lemon and agrumi... A very light, slightly biting smell. The sample looks really nice with the design of flowers... for sure, their packaging is excellent. The perfume again is very highly-priced: 89 Euro.

A lipstick by Diego Dalla Palma was sent to me when I bought their palette, I loved this lipstick called The Lipstick. This colour is number 42, it is a very interesting colour, I will try to explain it a bit more: It is a very cool colour but modest at the same time, it is a good combination of red, orange and brown with metallic undertones. You can see it from the photo below, it is closer to a dark peach, so it goes well with peachy colour make-up. The price is 25.90 Euros.

These are the most recent smallest samples I had tried, would I buy them? Maybe if I did not worry about money, yes, I would give Missha BB cream a shot definitely. The others are kind of luxury but they are probably products that you will not regret that you have bought. On the other hand, these days we have more important worries like coronavirus, so this is just an article written for the future days where we can only worry about our cosmetics again. Being closed home, I thought I would write a blog on samples I used till now, there it is!
