My favourite brushes for daily use
Well, I know what you will say if I say "I do not wear makeup every day". I really do not. Especially in November, I feel too depressed to wear makeup. But when I do, I have three to four brushes that I use and will introduce them to you now with great pleasure, cause they are good to me and I am good to them (I did not mean to personify them this much, nothing is more important than trees, animals and persons).
Okay having said that let us start with the fact that I have a leaning towards KIKO brushes, yes, they are good, yes, they are professional, and yes they do look aesthetic. I have three brushes from KIKO, and then one from Bodyshop, and one from Bellàpiere. Then there is another one Kabuki teint 47, but do not remember when and how I got that one. Maybe it was a present.
Let's shoot. The best and the most practical eye shadow brush ever, one brush but have two functions: to spread and to specify. You shoot two birds with one stone (and hope you never do that). Kiko pop revolution double-ended eye brush is what I am talking about. The price is good, too. It is efficient and sometimes it is more than enough to do some simple tricks on eye shadows you are using.
Second KIKO is from Green Me collection. I use it for applying the blush on my face (see on the right). It is absolutely gorgeous! Soft and beautiful. It is applied easily. Even someone who does not know much makeup can apply the blush with this one.
Another one is for blending blush and highlighter (see on the left), but I use it mainly for the blush, too. This one is smaller than the other in terms of surface. Still very nice, useful and cute, easy to carry with you, does not take much space.
The next one is for bronzers from Bodyshop (see above). It is called the 'face and body brush'. Maybe for contour, it might be a bit larger in the surface, than you think. In fact not! It is a bit oval in its shape, it depends on how you use it, do you use it in a 45-degree line, or do you use it more in a circular way? So it changes roles according to what you want to achieve. I like this one a lot, too, it is also good quality. Mostly I use it for applying my bronzer, to be honest (I will do a bronzer blog, too, cause I have my favourites of those, too!)
So the next two are also for bronzers, or mixing colours, this one above which is bellápiere is absolutely wonderful. My cousin gave it to me as a present, I am grateful to her! How did she know? I use it for almost for four years, easy to clean, easy to use, easy to apply, soft and guarantees better makeup! By the way till now, I did not know what kabuki meant, apparently it means: "a form of traditional Japanese drama with highly stylized song, mime, and dance, now performed only by male actors, using exaggerated gestures and body movements to express emotions, and including historial plays, domestic dramas and dance pieces." (google dictionary)
The last one is the Kabuki teint 47 of Sephora, it is from their blush collections. I like it, yes, but not as much as the other Kabuki I have from Bellàpiere. If we consider that I used bellàpiere for four years and this one from Sephora for almost for one year, its shape is worse than bellàpiere. Still good, still decent. But ten over ten to bellàpiere.
So these are all from me... I also have other brushes, but I chose these, cause I use them almost every day and they seem to be more than enough. If someone is a makeup artist for sure they will need more. But I declare hereby that they are good, sufficient and beautiful. Since I am not obsessed with the contours, I did not suggest a declining line brush (whatever that means) or an asymmetric one, but I definitely suggest you have a look at this one by KIKO: precision brush duo (see below). It looks professional and super useful. It is from the Sicilian notes... Funny thing, Kiko brushes finish easily, if you do not buy them you cannot find them again, women are crazy about them. Well, I understand why, but I do not know why they produce in little numbers of the good ones!
My next blogs will be most probably on eye pencils, and then we will see. I have not decided yet ... Leave a comment if you would like something tested. Hope it is in my budget and in my expertise.
Have a great Friday, I love Fridays, the end of the week! Ah finally!
